Founded in 1997, with 30 members, the Jackson Township Sportsman’s Club was formed for the purpose of holding organized group hunting & fishing activities, and to promote community involvement in such activities. Now in 2011, the club has over 90 members and growing. The club has become active in the Jackson Township area with annual activities such as; an Annual Youth Fishing Derby, Annual Wild Game Feed, Club Christmas Party, stocking the Elwood Pond annually, club hunts & trap shoots, and had made donations to the Annual Guns & Hoses Game, Elwood Community Days, and Elwood Little League Program to construct a new ball diamond, and team sponsorships. The JTSC also currently leases and has exclusive to rights to hunt area properties. They are insured for the protection of the club, its members, and land owners.
